Our Story

Shorebreak Bakery Café started in 2024 with the Vogel Family. Taryn and Kylie had the idea, and Carl and Melinda brought it to life. They created something to share with the Sylvan Beach community that they’ve called a second home for over a decade. What began as a fun family project has grown into a favorite bake shop for locals and beachgoers looking for fresh pastries, coffees, frozen drinks, sandwiches, beach vibes and so much more. Shorebreak is family-run, built on early mornings, lots of laughter, and time spent working side by side. We’re so thankful for the support that’s helped us grow, and we’re excited for another summer of sunshine, sweets, and familiar faces. Whether you’re grabbing a coffee before the beach or stopping in for a treat after a day in the sun, we’re happy to be part of your time in Sylvan Beach. Thanks for being part of our story.
